Race Forum 2017
On September 16, 2017 the Westside church hosted a forum to talk about racism and race issues from a biblical viewpoint. Five men participated. Ruben Amador (Katy, Texas), Warren Berkley (McAllen, Texas), Ben Lee (Beaumont, Texas), Kevin Clark (Birmingham, Alabama) and Mark Roberts (Irving, Texas) as a panel, engaging in a panel discussion about these important matters. In the second hour the panel took written questions from the audience.
The event can only be termed a huge success. There was a large crowd present, and more people watched online via live Internet streaming. Everyone's conduct was exemplary and clearly showed that Christians can talk about hard things without losing their Christianity. We believe everyone will be blessed to watch or listen to the Forum as it directs us to God's Word as the standard for our conduct and beliefs.
